Affiliate programs for content sites.
|
BAM consists of an idea (described below),
a standard
and implementations.
Summarized, BAM is a new form of affiliate marketing for your site.
Affiliate programs are pretty simple.
- User clicks on special link at site A and goes to site B.
- User buys product at site B.
- Site B pays commission to site A.
So what is BAM about? BAM means that every website can have
its own affiliate network - WITHOUT a physical cash product to sell.
BAM puts in a twist!
Site B doesn't sell a physical, cash product.
Instead, site B sells itself.
When you think about it, a website IS a product
and users pay; not in cash, but by viewing
ad banners. In essence, BAM is an affiliate program
for non-cash-product sites! (ie ALL SITES)
BAM means that EVERY WEBSITE CAN HAVE
THEIR OWN AFFILIATE NETWORK (including yours)
and benefit from the boost in traffic that it promises.
BAM is very simple to implement.
As a matter of fact, it's so simple I've coded the program to implement
BAM and I'm offering it for free. You can get the
free javascript program
to implement BAM here at eMason.
BAM Example
Site A sends a user to site B using the BAM! url.
User views 12 pages at site B. Site B is paying every third banner (or 33%
of banners shown) thus Site A's banners are shown 4 times at Site B.
To see what I mean :
a. Click here and press the
reload button a few times. Notice the top banner. (just remember what it is)
b. Now, using the formatted bam url, click here
and look at the top banner. You should see a BAM! banner.
That banner you see, could be yours.
To try that out for your own banner, complete section 2 of
this form
with your image and click-through url.
It will create the special BAM! formatted url for you.
Anyone clicking on that url from your site will hit
the test page but show your banner instead.
Think this is an intriguing concept? Tell someone about it!
(this recommend service is another free service you can get from eMason)
Why implement an affiliate network for your site?
Simple. More traffic. By giving people incentive to link to
your site you automatically get more recognition.

create an affiliate program for your site or link to a site running BAM!
What are the benefits of BAM!?
Think about it, it gives sites the ability to trade what they
have (unsold banners) for what they want (more traffic). It gives
you the power of an affliate network, WITHOUT the headache of administring
one. Also, who would you link to? Site A that rewards you with banners or
Site B that doesn't?
More benefits
- no accounting required. (ie. no administration costs)
- no cash is actually transacted. (ie. no messy payment details)
- no need for tracking systems.
- quality of referred user determines amount of payout.
- click-through model. (ie. you only pay for results)
- cheat resistant. (you don't pay on the click through but
instead based on the number of page views AFTER that click)
- program to implement BAM! is FREE. (under the
copy-left principles) And because it is in Javascript, ALL sites can use
it, no need for complicated server programs.
How do I start BAM! at my site?
1. Copy the Javascript code
onto all your pages.
2. Put up the BAM! button somewhere
in your site. (best place is either the homepage or at your "link to us" page)
3. List your site in the web directory so that
other sites know you are running the BAM! program.
How do I link to a BAM! site?
By way of a special url.To create the url, you can
create it automatically
or check out the technical standards on
how to create one.
